A wonderfully distinctive 1940s British lumber jacket with a neat fitted waist, button-front fastening and tailored collar. The jacket features a buttoned breast pocket, long sleeves gathered into buttoned cuffs and a close-fitting waistband, creating the characteristic cropped, softly bloused silhouette of the period.
The original illustration shows the jacket worn with high-waisted trousers, giving it a particularly strong wartime 1940s sportswear look.
